Thursday Oct 27 Congratulations on OUR accomplishments at the Bands of America Regional Championship in Towson, Maryland. We have a great organization, and the success of this event comes from many different partners. THE STUDENTS: Over the past three weeks, the students have been engaged to learn the material that was thrown at them to make the show better. I really appreciate all of their hard work and attention to detail during this period of time. It truly is amazing how much positive energy can be produced when all are focused on one thing. Our demand for excellence is starting to be met on a daily basis. THANK YOU!!! THE BOOSTERS -- Chaperones, Pit Crew and Jr Pit Crew, Uniform, Food, etc: Our organization is indeed a machine when it is at work and the volunteers are the oil which makes us run so smoothly. YOU do a great job and it does not go unnoticed. The staff, students, and I greatly appreciate your efforts. THE STAFF: Thank you to all staff members, who have worked so hard on making the show specifics attainable for the students on such short notice. You all have done a great job and the students, parents, and I appreciate you. It is amazing how much the band improves over one week's time. I often talk about how one can give their personal best and come off the field having any no regrets, and I believe that everyone of our students had that feeling Saturday afternoon. I am proud that the kids have finally felt that AND the way they responded to it. Eleventh place at BOA and 3rd in our class! We outscored all North Carolina Bands and have the highest score from our state this year so far with two weekends left. Such an incredible accomplishment for our young program. WE should ALL BE PROUD.  I AM PROUD OF ALL, ALL OF YOU!!!            Mr. James   Mon, Sep 26,   Message from MR James: Congratulations Marching Mavericks on your two exhibition performances! We as a staff are very excited about all of your hard work and efforts over the past 8 weeks. As we approach the competition season which will now start, I hope each of you will take a moment to reflect on what you have accomplished in such a short time period and how far can you truly push yourself over the next several weeks to be your best! MANY HEARTFELT THANK YOUS to all of our MRBB Chaperones, Moms, Dads and Sibs that came out to help load up equipment, turn props, move instruments, get hair up under the hats just right, put on plumes, socks and other "things" - all the details that go into getting our students performance ready this past weekend. The famous Grill had the Nations Ford parents excited about next week as a few parents talked to me in passing. Everything behind the scenes went smoothly thanks to all our families working together. Our Marching Mavericks couldn't do it without your support. Go MR!!
