Made with Xara Since opening in 2007, the Marvin Ridge High School band program has quickly established a reputation for musical excellence.  The band program includes the Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Color Guard, Percussion Ensemble, and the clarinet choir.  The Middle School offers 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade bands along with a jazz band. Since the opening of the school, the Marvin Ridge band program has grown to over 110 students in grades 9-12. Students in the Marvin Ridge band program are consistently members in the SCBDA All-District Band, North Carolina All-State Honors Band, Charlotte Youth Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte Youth Wind Ensemble, and the Union County Youth Symphony. With the concert bands at the core of the music curriculum, students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra-curricular ensembles.  These include the 85-member marching band, jazz band, a pit orchestra for the spring musical, numerous chamber ensembles, and a percussion ensemble. The Marvin Ridge Band Boosters(MRBB) sponsors in school master classes with an outstanding faculty of professional musicians at both the High School and Middle School levels.
